Job Description:
Beyond Meat is seeking a Business Controller to join their Finance team consisting of Controlling and Accounting (Management and Statutory bookkeeping). The Finance function supports all EMEA related business activities: Operations and Commercial. Close cooperation between the Finance Team department in EMEA and the corporate/US Finance function is in place.
This is a role, both tactical and operational and working with all EMEA functions. The Business Controller reports to the Finance Director and is part of the EMEA Finance Team and has an advisory role towards the EMEA Operations Director and their team.
TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct detailed data analysis and prepare reports for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), ensuring optimal inventory levels and cost efficiency.
- Perform accurate cost calculations for products and operations, including COGS for Enschede manufacturing and Co-Manufacturing partnerships.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies, ensuring accurate stock levels and valuation.
- Analyze pricing inquiries from the sales team, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic pricing decisions.
- Support innovation projects by assisting with costing and business case development, ensuring new products are financially viable and aligned with our growth objectives.
- Conduct a thorough Gross Margin review by product/item, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Regularly update and maintain financial dashboards for the Enschede facility, providing key stakeholders with real-time insights into financial performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Highly analytical mindset with a passion for working with large data sets and conducting detailed financial analysis.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
